It was a bunny day to hop off on a right good Easter egg scramble.

And they were off in numbers, with plenty of smiling faces and family fun, as The Great Easter Egg Hunt returned to Inverness city centre earlier today.

The free of charge event drew in the crowds as competitors set off in search of hidden eggs, all hoping to be the lucky ones who land the prize of a £100 Inverness city centre gift card.

The event ran from 11 am to 4pm today and will continue through the same hours tomorrow (Saturday).

In among the bunnies and bears, there is an array of Easter-themed activities including crafts, face painting, and entertainment courtesy of talented street performers.
