Geography teachers from across Scotland descended on Inverness for an annual conference.

The event was organised by the Scottish Association of Geography Teachers and was held at Inverness Royal Academy at the weekend.

A spokesman said: “We are delighted to announce a return to a face to face conference. Our theme this year was One World, Many Stories.”

He said the get together was a great opportunity to meet with fellow geographers, listen to guest speakers Jo Wolfe and Bobby McCormack as well as participate in workshops that supported professional learning.

Mr McCormack is the co-founder and chief executive of Development Perspectives and worked as a senior lecturer in Dundalk.

Ms Woolf is the writer-in-residence at the Royal Scottish Geographical Society and researches explorers.
