PICTURES: Stadium market paves way for future events at the home of Ross County Football Club as Saturday's event provided a platform for small traders to sell direct to the public and Highland Hospice the opportunity to raise much-needed funds

Christmas markets hosted at the home of Ross County Football Club could provide a template for similar ventures going forward, it has been confirmed.

The Dingwall club hosted another successful event on Saturday, providing a platform for small traders to sell direct to the public, and Highland Hospice the opportunity to raise much-needed funds from the Santa’s Grotto it ran.

The club’s Lorraine Christie said she was pleased with how the event well with children, traders and visitors all leaving happy.

She said: “Given we have the infrastructure to adhere to Covid-19 regulations we are delighted to support the local economy. We will look to arrange more of these days in the future.”

Highland Hospice corporate fundraiser Karen Duff said: “We were delighted to see so many children at the Grotto on Saturday. We’d like to say a big thank you to all those who donated to our collection.”
