BUDDING artists in Inverness had a scarily good cause for celebration after being awarded top prizes in a national competition.

ARTventurers classes for babies, toddlers and children won three accolades in the What’s On 4 Kids awards.

As part of the winning team, Linsey Macrae from Culloden, who runs the franchise in Inverness and Dingwall, was awarded most loved activity, most loved party entertainment, as well as being highly commended for best baby activity.

Ms Macrae, who started her groups in May, said: “It is a passion of mine to try and bring the benefits of art and creative play to as many children as possible. We have so much fun that children don’t realise the skills they are learning.

“It fills me with joy when I am given feedback from the parents of children who are having fun, gaining in confidence and learning new skills every week.

“These awards were voted for by the parents and carers who bring their little ones along to our classes up and down the country every week or join in at our events and parties, so it’s amazing that ARTventurers received such recognition on a national level.”
