Scores of happy shoppers turned out for the grand opening of a new store in Inverness.
Customers turned out in the early hours on Tuesday to get their place in the queue for Iceland’s sister shop The Food Warehouse.
Staff at the 12,000 sq ft store in the Telford Retail Park marked the opening by offering up a plethora of prizes for early birds.
The haul of goods included the likes of air-fryers and the chance to do a 90-second “trolley dash”.
Among those lucky enough to walk away with a trolley of free food and household equipment was Carrie Watts whose winning raffle ticket gave her a chance to run around the shop and grab goods.
She said: “I’m really glad I got up early.
“I got a lot of stuff that I actually probably won’t eat myself but I’m hoping that I can pass it on to people. I was just throwing stuff in the cart.”
The queue to get into the store for the opening stretched around the car park and first in line was Colin Scott who snipped the red tape on the stroke of 8am to officially mark the opening.
The store brings 24 new jobs.
