A host of vehicles from years gone by were on show on the Black Isle this weekend.

The 19th Fortrose & Rosemarkie Classic Vehicle Rally took place at King George V Park in Fortrose on Saturday afternoon with in excess of 150 entries expected for the event.

Participants, who came from all corners of Scotland to take part, began at the traditional rallying point at Dingwall Mart and were aiming to enjoy an hour's scenic drive to the show venue – though how much scenery they were able to enjoy in often torrential conditions is open to debate.

Spirits were high, however, in Fortrose as vehicle owners had the chance to meet and greet each other as well as members of the public who were keen to find out more about the array of vehicles on show.

Sales, stalls and local produce offerings rounded out the day, along with entertainment at the event courtesy of Step in Style dancers from Inverness and the Norcon Pipe Band.
