School children delighted friends and family in the run up to Christmas with a colourful array of nativities and plays.
Dalneigh Primary School students had a school concert where all students performed songs from musicals and P1 pupils went on stage with a traditional-style nativity.
Head teacher Rhona MacCormick said: “All the children enjoyed themselves and worked hard to learn the songs.”
Cauldeen Primary performed had an original play titled Before I go, let me take an Elfie, in which they travelled the world to find the best place to celebrate Christmas — to realise that their homes back in Scotland had been the best place all along.
Cauldeen head teacher Angela Downie said: “We also took a chance to say goodbye to Caroline McLaughlin, who is retiring after 36 years at our school.”
Here are pictures of just some of the events held in the last few weeks.
