It has been a day for waterproofs and wellies as rain showers swept through the Inverness area.

Sections of the Ness Islands were affected by standing water plus the play areas in Whin Park.

The forecast for this afternoon is for some sunny spells while tomorrow will see sunny intervals and a moderate breeze.
