PICTURES: Courier readers dancing with delight after thrilling display of the Northern Lights

A DAZZLING display of the Northern Lights left many readers dancing with delight last night.

Dave Davidson, vice-chairman of Highlands Astronomical Society shared one of his images, taken at the group's observatory in Culloden.

He said: "There was a very large crowd at Culloden last night, including foreign visitors on holiday."

Leanne McGillivray took this outside Inverness next to the A96.

Neil MacLennan caught the stunning display at Croy after being alerted by a neighbour.

Grace Clark was also thrilled by what she saw at Ardross in Easter Ross.
