NAIRN town centre saw the opening of a new shop over the Easter weekend.

Owned by Georgina Innes, who also runs Brambles Boutique, Strut is a new shoe emporium based in Leopold Street.

The opening saw a good turnout of customers eager to show their support.

Ms Innes said: “We had a great opening day.

"Thank you to everyone that popped in and for all your good wishes – it really was a fantastic atmosphere.”

She said the decision to open a dedicated shoe shop in the town was as a result of the positive feedback she had received from customers about the offering at Brambles and other outlets run by her.

She said: “We knew there is a market for a larger range and our current space wasn’t large enough to expand that side of the business, so as a new space became available we decided to go for it!

“Strut will follow the same ethos that we are known for – quality and affordability with a real attention to sourcing interesting and exciting products.”

Brambles Boutique celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2022.

Ms Innes opened sister shop Ink&Pink on the High Street in 2015 followed by another boutique in Aviemore which opened its doors just before lockdown.
