Football fans in Inverness expressed emotions of pride, frustration, disappointment and optimism as Scotland's men's team made their first appearance at a major football tournament since 1998.
The Tartan Army watched as Scotland lost 2-0 at Hampden against Czech Republic in their first game in Euro 2020.
One fan said: "It's great that we're back at a competition but obviously a disappointing start.
"We didn't play that badly but we made some mistakes and it was frustrating that we didn't take our chances. We'll bounce back though."
Scotland's next game is against England at Wembley on Friday.
Another supporter said: "Despite the result, I'm proud we're there and not just watching teams from other countries like in years gone by.
"Hopefully we'll do well against England."
