PICTURES: Leo's Pride Party with the Pride 3 ball raises a fantastic sum of over £15,000 for MFR Cash for Kids charity in memory of little Leo Flett who died aged four

A third charity ball in memory of a little lad who touched the hearts of many has raised a record sum of over £15,000 for children with additional needs.

Party with the Pride 3, a Leo’s Pride fundraiser, proved a roaring success on Saturday evening with 210 people in attendance and valuable funds raised for the MFR Cash for Kids cause.

There were some moving and poignant moments as Leo Flett was remembered among friends, family and business supporters, but plenty of fun and laughter too.

Leo died at the age of four in July 2019 after bravely battling an extremely rare form of muscular dystrophy.

Parents Louise and Mitchell Flett have since raised well over £100,000 for charity in his memory.

“With the Queen’s passing, we did consider whether the event should go ahead, but the feeling was the Royal Family would want these kind of events to continue.

“Everyone had a great time on the evening and we’d also like to thank the Kingsmills Hotel and all their wonderful staff for looking after us so well.”

Among a wealth items donated for auction was a 55-litre refill Sherry Octave cask of whisky from Ardnamurchan Distillery which went for £3400.

The generous donation was made by distillery director Connal Mackenzie.
