Riders young and old made the most of a perfect weather window on Saturday as the Kidical Mass campaign ride took place in Inverness for the first time this year.

The global movement aims to promote safer streets, with fun and colourful cycle events. The Inverness ride takes place on the first Saturday of each month, with a break during the colder winter months.

It returned on Saturday, with organisers saying about 90 people took part in the ride.

With everything from balance bikes to trikes, rickshaws and cargo bikes, they cycled from Bellfield Park, through the town centre and along to the finish beside the Highland Archive Centre, where there were snacks and fun activities put on.

These included the smoothie bike, Velocity bike maintenance, a penny farthing to try out and bubble games.

The next ride is due to take place on Saturday, April 1.
