A GROUP of friends who held a Jubilee Party at an Inverness bar raised almost £600 for a cancer charity.
Held at Inverness SoBat, a Jubilee Friends Reunion party was a great success and managed to collect £584 in total for Pancreatic Cancer UK via entry fee and a raffle.
One of the organisers, Karen Smart, said: "Myself, Lynda Brooman, Karen Nicol, Michelle Freer and Julie McWilliams decided that everyone has such busy lives that we would sort out an old friends reunion to try and get good friends together for a night out and at the same time raise money for Pancreatic Cancer.
"Karen Mackay did a huge buffet for free and Raymond Stewart played DJ all night for free also. We raised £584 and everyone had a superb night.
"It was a night for all old friends, mostly who grew up in Hilton, to catch up and share old memories.
"SoBar also let us use their venue for free which was great.
"My friend Lynda Brooman is very passionate about Pancreatic cancer as she lost her dad to this and does a lot of charity work for them."
