PUPILS around Inverness will be backing a UK-wide campaign to support disadvantaged children and young people.
Many schools in the area are marking the Children in Need appeal today by wearing spots or something yellow and organising fundraising activities.
Hilton Primary started off with a Children in Need Breakfast Boogie.
June Aitchison, clerical assistant at Hilton Primary, said: “We had have a Breakfast Boogie every Friday morning from 8.3am for all children from P1 to P7 and it is child-led with staff volunteers.
"We'd like to give a special mention to previous Hilton Breakfast Boogie Dancers now at Inverness Royal Academy who lead us every Friday."
Auldearn Primary P5 pupils were busy organising fundraising activities on the day with a bake sale and a pre-loved toy sale with what has been so far a "roaring trade" according to a school's spokesperson, and are aiming to raise more than £500.
Other schools like Muirtown, Cradlehall, Lochardil and Smithton will also be among those marking the day.
