PERFORMING arts students were one of the main acts at an awards ceremony celebrating the heroes in our communities.
TFX Performing Arts put on a great show at the latest Highland Heroes Awards night held at the Drumossie Hotel in Inverness last week (March 10).
The students provided special entertainment for the Children’s Award section of the nigh, with a dance routine performed by their Performance Company to the song “Amazing” by Foxes choreographed by TFX teacher Claire Darcy.
The song was chosen by their students to mark the amazing night, with a special choir arrangement put together by their singing teacher Ali Gilliland.
Ms Darcy said: “We’ve never been involved with the Highland Hero Awards event before so this is a first and we’re delighted to have been asked to perform.
"This was a fantastic opportunity for our senior students to perform in the community. I’m very proud of all the students and the commitment they’ve shown to preparing for this event.”
Among the students performing were scholarship winners Edward Mackenzie and Amy Beattie.
Edwards said: “We have so many performances coming up at the moment, it’s been really good to get out there and be performing consistently again. After covid I wasn’t sure I’d ever get the opportunity be performing every weekend again but here we are!”
Amy said: “This event particularly is so humbling to be a part of. I feel very honoured to be part of the celebrations at the Highland Heroes Awards.”
