Thousands of people across the Inverness and Nairn area have paid their respects at Remembrance Sunday events.

Members of the public joined veterans, military personnel and local dignitaries to pay respects to the fallen.

Events in Inverness included a parade to the Inverness War Memorials at Cavell Gardens, while similar acts took place at Nairn War Memorial and elsewhere in Inverness-shire and Nairn-shire, with services and wreath-laying ceremonies.
