Hundreds of children and adults took to the stage as the Inverness Provincial Mòd returned to the city's Eden Court Theatre.

With over 430 entries, competitors took part in art, literature, poetry recitation, storytelling, solo singing, choral singing and instrumental classes.

The two-day festival concluded with a traditional Gaelic ceilidh dance in North Kessock Hall where some of the winning competitors performed alongside some well-known Gaelic singers.

The dance music was provided by local band, Marloch.

Ross Brindle, chairperson and secretary, thanked everyone had made the mòd happen.

"The whole event is run by volunteers and I am extremely thankful to all those who gave their time to help and in particular our committee who have been working so hard over the last few months to pull everything together," he said.

"We were also very grateful to receive financial assistance from the Inverness Common Good Fund to support the running costs of this year’s events."
