We asked our readers to send us pictures of how they or their loved ones have been celebrating special occasions during the lockdown so we could give them a shout out.

We published the first set of pictures a couple of weeks ago and we've now received more to share with you.

Gemma McMullan sent us the above picture and said: "On Friday, June 5 my parents will both be celebrating their birthday in lockdown! They were born on the same day, in the same year in Raigmore Hospital, Inverness. To help them celebrate their birthdays myself and my two brothers, living in Inverness, Dublin and London have sent them a lockdown birthday menu from Brambles (Chez Adrea) in Inverness and we will be treating them to a lockdown birthday meal at home. Then later that evening we will all meet up on Zoom for the third instalment of our family Zoom quiz (with party hats on, of course!) We would love it if you could feature their lockdown birthday celebrations in your paper. They always read the Courier and it would be a lovely surprise for them on their birthday."

"My parents' names are Maureen and Ken Lyon and they live in Holm Mains, Inverness – I better not say how old they are...! Attached is a photo of them from March this year, just before lockdown."

We hope Maureen and Ken had a great birthday.

The above picture of Nathan Grigor was sent to us by his mum Cecilia Grigor. Nathan celebrated his 11th birthday in lockdown and said he had the best day. He said that everyone was so kind for sending him lots of tasty treats via the doorstep and even had three birthday cakes delivered!

Happy belated Birthday to Nathan.

Liz Peck celebrated her 60th birthday on May 22. The email we received along with the photo said the following:

"Liz started the day with Bucks Fizz and a special card from a special person! Hardly time to down the first drink of the day when tooting of horns took her outside. Friends from the village (Glenelg) gathered at the gate five metres away to sing Happy Birthday. A pile of (mainly alcoholic) presents left at the gate set the tone of the day! Then a small binge on Downton Abbey while hubby Andy cooked a three-course lunch! More friends at the gate with cup cakes, candles and Harris Gin. What a treat!!!! Best birthday ever!!!!"

We hope Liz had a fantastic day.

Donna Macleod sent us in this picture and told us that her parents would be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on May 30. Donna had planned to make them a cake and decorate with banners and balloons as well as giving them presents.

Keep sending us your pictures of how you are celebrating in lockdown.

Send a picture along with the individual's name and where they live to newsdesk@hnmedia.co.uk and make sure you tell us a little bit about what you did or plan to do to make the day at home special.
