A NIGHT of live music, dancing and cheer warmed up the crowd that got together at Northern Meeting Park in Inverness to welcome the New Year.

The Red Hot Highland fling welcomed more than 5000 people of all ages with a great live lineup featuring Tweed, Manran and Torridon.

Comedian Fred MacAulay was the compere on the night and brought his humour on stage tying together the live music acts.

The event was free to attend however it was limited to 5000 tickets which were distributed online on a first-come first-served basis and which were fully booked in only a few hours from being released.

The first public celebration of Hogmanay since 2019, the Red Hot Highland Fling saw people from all over the world celebrating the New Year together with fireworks and a crowd singing along to Auld Lang Syne in the end.
