PICTURES: Youngsters exhibit their graffiti in project involving Black Isle Youth Development, Cromarty Arts Trust and Cromarty Youth Cafe

Graffiti art proved a big hit with kids on the Black Isle during a two-day workshop.

Black Isle Youth Development teamed up with artist Tommy Keyes, working in partnership with Cromarty Arts Trust and Cromarty Youth Cafe.

Two sessions – one for juniors and another for seniors – gave participants a grounding in the basics and then the chance to create their own work with what they had learned.

Their colourful pieces were then displayed in the Victoria Hall park which became an outdoor art gallery for locals to enjoy the freshly-created exhibits.

Youth development officer Wanda Mackay explained: “Young people will get their art works home after the exhibition period.”

She added: “We are getting great feedback and hope all our residents and visitors love the graffiti boards.

“I am very proud of them and Tommy the artist was brilliant.”
