PICTURES: Fun in the sun in Inverness as city enjoys taste of summer

With the sun splitting the sky people in Inverness have been making the most of the weather today.

Our photographer headed to the city's Whin Park where Maeve and Pat McAfee were enjoying the swings then to the neighbouring skate park where users were happy to show off some of their impressive moves.

While today is probably the best Inverness can expect until Monday at least, tomorrow and the wekened don;t lok too bad either.

Expect sunny intervals tomorrow, with a high of 18 degrees, with light cloud forecast for Saturday and virtually no chance of rain.

While Sunday is the coolest day of the weekend – with a high of 15 degrees predicted – there is likely to be more sunshine on Saturday, particularly so in the evening.
