PICTURES: Festive fun at Inverness Ice Centre is top draw

A series of festive events at Inverness Ice Centre was so successful organisers are hoping to bring them back next year.

The three-day Christmas extravaganza from Friday until Sunday with two ice shows, a chance to skate with Santa and Mrs Claus and a Christmas market.

Chief executive Gordon Barron said there had been good feedback from visitors and exhibitors at the market.

He said: “The show went really well and was an excellent display of top-class figure skating. Skating with Santa was massively popular with the children and some adults.

“We hope it will be bigger in the years to come.”

The market took place on Saturday and Sunday.
