PICTURES: Inverness wedding fair draws good crowd
Couples planning their wedding day had the chance to chat to a range of businesses and exhibitors to get new and different ideas at a fair in Inverness.
The glittering event was held at the Macdonald Drumossie Hotel on Sunday.
Among those in attendance was Kerry Flint-Elkins, from Inverness, who is very much in the thick of planning her own big day, said: “We are here today for some last minute inspiration before we get married in May this year at Bunchrew House.”
Chris Boxall, an events manager with Highland Castle Entertainment, said: “We can create anything for any space and we cover everything including lighting and sound, and we even have power in marquees.”
He said customisable photo booths and selfie boxes to add some fun to the day are also proving popular at the moment and added: “They are quirky and something different for people.”
Alison White, of Alison White Photography, said she liked to meet with couples ahead of their wedding day because she could be with them for up to 13 hours on the day.
As well as formal portraits and group shots she said she also tried to get more relaxed and candid shots to leave couples with a real flavour of their day.
Spud the Piper, from Aviemore, was also in attendance at the fair.
Able to play at key points during the wedding day as well as piping the bride down the aisle he said: “I finish with my piper’s toast in Gaelic and in English.”
The wedding fair also included a fashion show to showcase local suppliers Charlotte Smith Bridal, La Di Da Fashion & Ben Wyis Kilts who all provide a wide range of wedding outfits fit for you and your guests for your special day.
Other suppliers who supported the fashion show included Your Day Styling, Sara Campbell Therapies, and Highland Castle Entertainment who were available on the day to provide their expertise.
