Climate change protesters conducted "socially distanced action" in Inverness city centre this morning.

Extinction Rebellion (XR) Highland took a stand in Dingwall High Street before heading to the city's Falcon Square, after stopping off to hang a banner from Kessock Bridge.

It has been prompted by the Committee for Climate Change delivering its annual report to the UK government.

Members of XR Highland – and other XR groups across Britain – are writing to MPs and MSPs urging them to speak out in parliament and in their constituencies to highlight the urgent need for a green Covid-19 recovery.
