More than 180 paintings are currently on display in an exhibition created by members of the Art Society of Inverness.
The inspiring exhibition is an annual event that allows local artists to show the public their hard work.
Currently running at Inverness Creative Academy, the exhibition will be open daily from 10am-5pm until July 24.
It was declared open on a preview night on July 15 by Eric Allen, a long-standing and previous committee member.
Sixty-six local artists have created the summer exhibition, which contains a variety of mediums from pastels to acrylic paintings. There is a wide range of wonderful Scottish scenes including a sunrise over Loch Ness and a gentle scene of Rosemarkie Beach as well as portraits and abstract works.
Prizes were awarded to some of the artists. A painting of a poppy field by Miriam Smith won the president’s prize, West Coast Garden by Morag Burton won the gallery prize and the Marion Benne prize went to Avril McPhee’s In the Forest depicting a wintry scene.
Many of the works are up for sale, as are a variety of small greeting and post cards.
