PUPILS at an Inverness primary made numeracy count by raising cash for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC).

Kinmylies Primary celebrated Number Day with a series of maths-related games generating £115 for the charity.

Pupils took part in curriculum-based activities including Who wants to be a Mathionaire.

Principal teacher Jennifer Tyronney said: “The initiative was widely supported and the pupils and staff looked amazing in their number outfits. All classes spent time doing fun maths activities both inside the classroom and in our school playground covering a wide variety of maths topics.

“Our pupils and their families are always incredibly generous when we fundraise for causes such as the NSPCC and the children enjoy getting involved in the fundraising fun.”
