PICTURES: Kidical Mass cycling event heads through Inverness city centre from Bellfield Park to Northern Meeting Park today

Cyclists of all ages pedalled their way through Inverness city centre this afternoon.

It was aimed at raising awareness and encouraging more people to get on their bikes, especially youngsters.

A spokesman said: "We are keenly anticipating the first live Inverness Kidical Mass ride of 2022 this Saturday, March 5, starting at Bellfield Park from 1.30pm.

"We are looking forward to welcoming new and return wheelers, for a gentle and friendly ride from Bellfield park finishing at the Northern Meeting park with some fun activities, snacks and surprises.

"Everyone is welcome - all ages and abilities, bikes, trikes, recumbent, tandem, scooters, wheelchairs, buggies, the more the merrier."

"Kidical Mass is a world wide organisation, of which the Inverness group is one of the newest additions."
