Almost 100 young carers enjoyed a festive party courtesy of a Highland charity.
Connecting Young Carers (CYC) hosted the Christmas party at Inverness Ice Rink, with an ice disco, hot chocolates, crafts and even a special visit from Santa.
CYC is a Dingwall-based charity which supports young carers between five and 24 years old who provide care to a family member whether through illness, disability or long-term health conditions.
Barbara Brown, young carers development worker at CYC, said: “Time out from their caring role is so valuable to ensure they are given the chance to relax.
“Community partnerships and the support for this event has been incredible and without it the team would not have reached so many to give them a break and some fun. We want to send a huge thank you to all our supporters for helping us to make it so memorable.
“CYC worked with many partners to make sure the party was a fantastic day out to celebrate Christmas and give young carers this welcome break.”
Partners included Dingwall Rotary Club, Safe Access Highland, Morrisons Alness and Tesco stores.
