STAFF from a health and beauty shop generated £560 for cancer support at an event in Inverness.

A day of tea, coffee, home-made baking and pampering was organised by staff from the Boots branch in the Eastgate Shopping Centre in a bid to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

During the day, around 60 people were treated to mini-makeover sessions, during which they were offered make-up tips or a hand massage.

Organiser Deborah Watson said they were really pleased with the amount raised, and the number of people who took part.

“There were teenagers, elderly people and families, and everyone was really generous with the donations,” she added.

“It was a great day and it was lovely to talk to everybody.”
