A NAIRN bar was bustling with tunes and pours as their signature festival was back in town this weekend.

Now in its 15th edition, the Beer & Music Festival at the Bandstand saw a variety of artists and bands entertain the crowds as pints from 30 different brewers from across Scotland were brewed and sipped.

The beer garden marquee will remain up for a second weekend with a brand-new festival focussing on inclusivity which will run from June 2 to June 4.

Owner Paul Geddes said: "The beer festival has been running for 15 years and when we took over the Bandstand in 2019 we were very keen to maintain the live music, award winning ale and food reputation, and build on this with new events, festivals, genres of music and introduce The Bandstand to a wider audience.

"We kept it going every year (apart form 2020 when we did a mini-festival) which has been great."

About the new festival I Feel Love, which will feature a DJ set, drag acts, acoustics and pop bands on show, he added: "It will be an inclusive and party-focussed weekend celebrating diversity and everyone having a good time.

"Because the beer fest is long running but we didn't really have an event that celebrates other drinks like cocktails and fizz and music styles. It's our way to reach out and try to do something new for a different customer group.

"More ideas are coming, the challenge is fitting them all in the calendar!"
