The success of the seventh edition of the Baillie Cup at Bught Park is no secret, with parents and school teachers taking to social media to share their appreciation and gratitude for the children who took part, as well as parents and organisers who helped the event take place.

Each primary school were split into four sections, but for the first time ever there were five winners.

Event débutantes Resolis were joint winners of Section 4 alongside Farr Primary School, who both shared the sweet treats that came as a reward.

Section 3 champions Kirkhill Primary School posted a warm and heartfelt post on their Facebook page, thanking everyone who helped make the event happen and congratulating every child that took part.

"They were ALL amazing and ALL came home with medals," they wrote.

"They worked together as a team and placed FIRST in their category. SO incredibly proud of each and every one of them!"

Crown Primary School were next up to collect their trophy in Section 2, and teacher Mrs McCormick showed her delight with a post on Crown Primary's online blog.

"What a fantastic competition to be part of and the team did Crown very proud indeed," she wrote.

"Thank you so much to our coaches, Glenda and Kirsteen and also to our parent helpers for preparing the team so well and for coordinating today."
