AFTER 17 long months, Inverness Chamber of Commerce members were at last able to meet in person – with the first chamber barbecue since 2019.
The easing of pandemic-related restrictions and the spacious grounds of Kingsmills Hotel in Inverness allowed the chamber to cautiously resume its social calendar after the long break.
Chief executive Stewart Nicol was delighted with the response.
“All of the feedback has been really positive with everyone attending encouraged by ‘being back’. The Kingsmills Hotel was a great venue and produced some wonderful fare as always, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all,” he said.
“The Kingsmills also had extensive, well implemented ‘Covid-safe’ protocols in place and, as the event organiser, we had developed a set of guidance notes, both of which helped reassure attendees. The event had a real buzz to it.
“As always, we have asked for feedback from delegates and are planning further hybrid and face-to-face events in the coming months.”
