Welcome back to the Pets Factor! This week's weather is a very controversial topic for our pets – snow! Some love it, and some... don't seem to love it so much.

Here is my own cat, Socks. She hates the snow, a lot. As in, she loathes it, it is the bane of her existence.

She hates it so much that she ran through the cat–flap so fast, to escape the dreaded snow, she actually broke it from the hinges. So here she is, poking her head out, because she is too afraid to brave the cold, and the cat–flap is now broken.

We were supposed to have a cat called Elvis featured this week, but I can't seem to find him... I wonder where he is hiding?

In other news, Trig is enjoying the snow. I'm glad to see that Trig doesn't have an irrational fear of the snow like Socks.

And here is our SSPCA pet of the week! This is Zack, who is currently in the care of SSPCA Highlands and Islands. Canine crossbreed Zack is looking for a quiet home where he can grow in confidence. He can be initially wary of strangers, especially men, but once he gets to know them he is happy to be made a fuss of.

He will require an experienced new owner to help him adjust to a new home as he is very easily worried and is quite a nervous dog. Zack walks really well on the lead and loves to have a good sniff around the exercise pen.
