Pedestrian taken to Raigmore Hospital for treatment after collision with vehicle in centre of Inverness

A PEDESTRIAN has been taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment following a collision involving a car in the centre of Inverness.

The accident at the lower end of Bridge Street happened at around 9.50pm this evening.

An ambulance was called to the scene and while full details have not yet been confirmed, it is understood the injuries sustained by the pedestrian are not life-threatening.

Traffic on both sides of the Ness Bridge was affected for a period while the casualty was given first aid at the scene.

Police said the accident had been reported at 9.50pm and that an ambulance was on the scene.
