A pedestrian was knocked to the ground by a car in Inverness.

The incident was in Millburn Road around 5.55pm yesterday.

It is understood he was walking by the DFS furniture shop and the vehicle was heading towards the Raigmore Interchange at the time of the collision.

Police and ambulance crews were sent to the scene and a Police Scotland spokeswoman said his injuries were thought to be minor and he was treated by paramedics at the scene.
