Pedestrian (91) sustains serious injuries following collision involving two cars on A96





A COLLISION involving two cars and a 91-year-old pedestrian, who has sustained serious injuries, has taken place on the A96 in Nairn.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident around 5pm at the junction of Thurlow Road and Seafield Street.

The pedestrian was taken to Raigmore Hospital for treatment for serious injuries.

A red Mazda and black Honda were involved.

Sergeant Kate Park of the Road Policing Unit said: "I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time of the crash to please come forward. If you have a dashcam, you may have captured footage which could assist our investigation.

“The road is currently closed to allow a full investigation to be carried out and local diversions are in place.
