Passengers at Inverness Bus Station had no choice but to stand outside in the snow this afternoon.

An indoor waiting area remained closed to the public earlier today.

One passenger, who didn't want to be named, described the situation as ridiculous.

The person said: "If the buses are running and people are going about their business while coming into the city centre to work and do some shopping, the indoor waiting room should be open.

"I know it's still classed as a bank holiday but it should be open. Loads of people are being forced to wait for buses in the freezing cold while it's snowing.

"Some of the bus shelters seem to have panels missing and it's just not good enough."

The Inverness Courier approached Stagecoach for a comment but no one was available.
