Part of A9 in Inverness expected to be closed for hours following accident

Part of the A9 in Inverness is expected to closed for hours following an accident.

Motorists have been told by police that they will have to safely turn around in a bid to clear the road.

One driver said: "I'm not sure what has happened but it must be serious because it will take hours to turn everyone around, including HGVs, and somehow get us off the A9 safely."
