Special Christmas delivery for Drumnadrochit couple

A HIGHLAND couple was blessed with the biggest present on Christmas Day.

Ciorstaidh (30) and Robert Day (43), from Drumnadrochit, returned home from Raigmore Hospital with a new addition to their family as they welcomed their first child, Jessica, on December 25 shortly before 1am.

Mr Day said: “This is the biggest Christmas present we could ask for.

“My wife had been in labour since Monday so it has been a few long days but now we are so happy to be back home with Jessica. She is beautiful and healthy.

“As we have been away for a few days, we had a lot of presents ready at home, but this is the most awesome gift.”

They said Jessica had been reported as the first baby to be born in the Highlands on Christmas Day.
