Two paddleboarders were rescued from the sea off Nairn after getting into difficulty.

The incident happened on Friday afternoon after the two women had set off from Findhorn.

They were picked up by an inshore rescue boat after the alarm was raised about 4pm when an onlooker on the shore noticed the paddleboarders appeared to be in difficulty.

They were taken to Nairn harbour where they were checked over.

A coastguard helicopter also went to the scene during the incident.
