WITNESSES are being sought after more than a dozen cars were vandalised in Inverness yesterday.

Around 17 vehicles were attacked in Hilton and Crown between 1am and 3am according to police.

Vehicles were targeted in Hill Street, Argyle Street, Druid Road, Southside Road, Dell Road and Tomatin Road.

Northern Constabulary is trying to trace an 18-year-old man, of slim build, who was dressed all in white and thought to be in the area at the time.

The spate comes just over a week after 22 cars were vandalised in Hilton, Milton and Drakies in an act described as sickening by Inverness police area commander Graeme Murdoch.

Anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the areas targeted is urged to contact police on: 0845 600 5703 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on: 0800 555 111.
