Over 2000 turn out for sold-out ComiCon event in Inverness
Inverness Leisure opened its doors to a sold-out crowd of over 2000 people this morning for the first ever visit of BGCP ComiCon.
Cosplayers and comic world fans from all over Scotland have descended upon the Highland capital for the day.
From superheros to samurais, those in attendance have been indulging in photo opportunities and stalls run by over 60 traders and artists selling merch from Marvel, DC, Pokémon, Star Wars, Dungeons & Dragons, and everything in-between.
BGCP also run comic conventions in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Loch Lomond, Ayrshire, Dundee, Fife, Aberdeen – and now Inverness looks to become an annual event following today's capacity turnout.
High Life Highland assistant manager Hayley Owen said: "We knew it was going to busy, but didn't know it was going to be this busy. The organisers say that 2000 tickets had been sold before the event and more have been sold at the door. It is great to have it here."
The event continues until 4pm today.
