Three projects that will benefit students, tourism and a local community group are to receive £48,300 Inverness Common Good Funding which has been awarded by Inverness councillors today.

Highland Council's Inverness leader Ian Brown said: “Councillors recognise the hardship that has faced students since the pandemic as many of them were unable to work. Awards made today were to Inverness College UHI (£22,300), Visit Inverness Loch Ness Ltd (£20,000) and Merkinch Community Centre (a second grant of £6000 making a total of £12,000).

"These grants demonstrate the wide reach and importance of the Inverness Common Good Fund’s assistance in the area’s economic and social recovery from the pandemic while providing for the wellbeing of visitors and locals alike.”
