BREAKING: One person injured after car, van and cyclist collide in Culduthel area of Inverness

One person has been taken to hospital after a collision involving a car, van and a cyclist on the outskirts of Inverness.

The accident happened just before 7pm this evening with police, ambulance and fire service crews attending the scene on the city’s Culduthel Road.

After an ambulance reached the scene, paramedics called for assistance from the fire service with two Inverness appliances arriving.

Police remained in situ at Leys roundabout, which connects Culduthel Road and Culduthel Avenue, but the fire vehicles departed at 7.34 pm.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At around 6.55pm on Friday, 10 November, 2023, police were called to a road traffic collision involving a car, a van and a cyclist near to Leys Roundabout, Culduthel Road, Inverness.

“Emergency services are in attendance and one person has been injured.”

A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said: “We took a call at 19:13 to attend at Culduthel Road.

“It was a two-vehicle road traffic collision and we took the request from the ambulance to attend.

“Two appliances from Inverness attended and we got the stop message in at 19:34.”
