For the fourth day in a row there have been no additional confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Highlands, the latest figures have shown.

The total number of recorded cases of Covid-19 cases in the NHS Highland area remains at 337.

The number of people being treated in hospital with suspected or confirmed Covid-19 also remains at nine, the same as yesterday.

The number of people being treated in intensive care in the region is still fewer than five.

Some 18 people have tested positive across the whole of Scotland in the last 24 hours, taking the national total to 15,400.

A total of 2362 people have died across the country since the outbreak began, a rise of nine on the same point yesterday.

Elsewhere in the north, NHS Grampian had one more recorded case taking its overall tally to 1274. Its hospitals were treating 66 people for the disease – the same as yesterday – with fewer than five receiving treatment in intensive care.
