Bad Girl Bakery has got another thumbs-up from famous TV chef and respected food writer Nigella Lawson.

The Muir of Ord and Inverness based bakers Tweeted about how Waterstones in Inverness were running out of their book, clearly a popular gift this Christmas.

It stated: "That’s Waterstones Inverness down to their last two copies of our book! We’ve still got a few in Bad Girl Bakery in Muir of Ord, and in the Victorian Market, Inverness. Ullapool Bookshop has some too, if you are out West."

Then Ms Lawson replied saying the reason stocks were running low was due to the "brilliance of the book."

That prompted a delighted response from the award winning north bakers who said Ms Lawson has "made our day again."

Ms Lawson had previously wrote of her "love" of Bad Girl Bakery on her blog, saying: "Some books take up residence in your home, others in your heart, and Bad Girl Bakery most vehemently belongs in the latter category.

"I love everything about this book: its warmth, its down-to-earth voice, and its heavenly recipes.

"It’s a very real joy, and what a pleasure and honour it is to share it with you."

That was music to the ears for the bakery which has gone from strength to strength and is now the anchor tenant in the refurbished Victorian Market food hall.
