NHS Highland has confirmed there are cases of coronavirus among patients at the Royal Northern Infirmary in Inverness.
NHS Highland has confirmed there are cases of coronavirus among patients at the Royal Northern Infirmary in Inverness.

Both in-patient wards at the Royal Northern Infirmary in Inverness have been affected by coronavirus.

NHS Highland said all affected patients at the hospital, which cares for elderly people, are being looked after under standard infection control procedures.

A number of staff members have also been affected though additional staff have been redeployed to ensure staffing levels are maintained.

Visiting has been suspend at the hospital though staff are keeping in close contact with families of those affected by phone.
