Nairn Highland Games has launched a new website in a bid to become even more successful, reducing costs and making it easier for audiences to find the information they need.

The games committee has now moved its website to a new address – www.nairnhighlandgames.com – providing a more user-friendly design and taking ownership of the portal.

Convener Hugh Allison said: “We owe it to our sponsors and donors to be prudent users of the Nairn Games budget. We felt that by taking the website and its maintenance in-house we could make savings which would be better spent on the event itself.

“Control and immediacy was another driver – if we built and maintained the website ourselves it would be quick and easy to change some of the photographs year-to-year, update the copyright, make changes to entry forms and other aspects, post the recent results, and be responsive to any need to change or update an FAQ page.”

Audiences and athletes taking part will find more information and updates on the event as well as entry forms, which are expected to be released in mid-July.
