Visit Inverness Loch Ness (VILN) has launched a new website to promote the Loch Ness 360ﹾ Trail.

It follows the completion of improved signage and information for the route.

The website, www.lochness-360.com, includes detailed information about the 129km route, how long it will take to walk or cycle, places to stop and visit along the way as well as provisional details of a new Loch Ness Challenge event which VILN expects to establish on the trail in June next year.

The website was developed by The Posh Agency in Glasgow and VILN also commissioned ThisWayUp Media to produce video footage of the trail for the site and social media.

Graeme Ambrose, CEO of VILN, said: “We have worked closely with Posh to ensure that the website provides the information that users of the trail want to read and know about and are delighted with the outcome.

"With strong imagery and video content it also really shows off to the walker or cyclist what a wonderful long distance trail this is. With varied and ever-changing views and landscape it is, we guarantee, an experience you will never forget.

"Over the coming months though we will continue to work with Posh to add more content including an interactive map of all points of interest on and near to the trail.”

Posh Agency spokeswoman Jenny Mills said: “This has been an incredibly inspiring and energising project to work on as a digital design and marketing agency. To bring this site to life so soon after launching the new Visit Inverness Loch Ness destination website at the end of 2018 was a wonderful adventure.

"The design and delivery remains closely aligned with the Visit Inverness Loch Ness website, yet allows the Loch Ness 360ﹾ Trail to shine bright in its own right as a wonderful new brand in this epic region.

"We really wanted to show the essence of the adventures of this trail and showcase its natural beauty as well as the vast opportunities for trail users to experience Scotland at its best along the way. We will continue to adapt and grow the site in line with customer needs and wants to ensure this trail becomes a true beacon within Scotland’s adventure travel market.”
